Our new areas are open!
3 areas in Durikai and one in Talgai.
I was told its open- but not to do a press release to the papers ect until the minister decides if he will do a release.

I will have detailed maps soon of the areas for Oziexplorer.

Thanks to everybody who helped get them open,It was a hard slog, but we did it.
I will be drafting a letter naming and thanking those who I dealt with in government, and sending it to the ministers involved.

Will see how long it takes for the numbats to ruin it for everybody else and close it down due to either, open holes or wandering into the off limit areas.
I reckon if they want to truely keep people out of the no go zone, they should put a nice little electric fence up. This will be cheaper in the end then all the man house spen reviewing hunting camera footage looking for people breaking the rules.

A big thank you to Secret Squirrel, and the others, for the mammoth and relentless effort selflessly put in to achieve this result.
It is now up to all the rest of us to do the right thing and take proper care of the areas now open. Perhaps this is a test, and there may be a lot more areas to open if we are seen as responsible.

Thanks again guys, you have our gratitude, and thanks.

Who said that constant perseverance wouldn't persuade our government to give something to us for a change....

Good work to everyone involved (including the petitioners) and we hope to look forward to a few more areas.
Lets wish for some that are closer to our homes.
Our members are a widely spread bunch.

Hey, admin. Do we need to have that press release quite so soon?

Now this is responsible government that makes good economic decisions that will benifit the whole community.
A green minority has had to much say over the the majority for too long. It is good to see opportunity created
by rational thining people at last.
I applaude out load the Queensland government and the people involved in making this happen!

Ok so you have been prospecting and gotten a real good sound and you dig up a nice big nugget but drop it near a mean death adder, that is standing his ground, what do you do?
